Weekly Watch Focus: Honor the Feasts

FRIDAY, Sept 30, 2016—This coming week, we are entering the appointed time on the Hebrew calendar of the Jewish Feasts. Let us honor the feasts that God has set on His calendar—Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets, on Oct 3,  leading up to the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, on Oct 12, and culminating with Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, October 17-23 and Simchat Torah on October 24.

As Jews celebrate these feasts, may we join them in a season of remembrance, repentance, and the blowing of the shofar, ushering in new waves of His visitation and victory.  The themes of Rosh Hashanah arouses our hearts in preparation of the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur. Pray for revival and repentance so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord because of what Christ has done for us on Calvary. In solidarity with our Jewish friends around the world, we pray for God’s blessing and peace during this time of awakening from slumber and turning from transgression back to serve the Living God. Pray for renewal of Judeo-Christian foundations. Release angels over Israel and pray for peace and protection from our enemies for the sake of future generations. Let us believe for fresh outpouring and harvest blessings on our family, our church, our city, our nation and Israel.

Have a blessed Rosh Hashanah—“Shana Tovah!”

He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. You will give truth to Jacob and mercy to Abraham, as You have sworn to our fathers from days of old."
