Weekly Watch Focus: Pray for London—God Protect our Cities from Terror

FRIDAY, June 9, 2017—This past Saturday, eight people were killed and forty eight others injured in a terror attack on London Bridge and nearby market. Three terrorists drove into the crowd on London Bridge and then began stabbing people at the nearby Borough Market. This is the third major attack in the UK in ten weeks, leading to a death-toll of 34 people and injuring more than 200. Pray God’s comfort for all the families of those who were killed or wounded. May God’s peace come in those broken places.

Pray for a supernatural shield of protection over the UK and for cities around the globe. Appoint angels to protect our schools, airports, malls, sports arenas, and other public gathering places. Bind the murderous demonic spirit of radical Islam that inspires these terrorists world-wide. Pray also for a wise answer to the migration of refugees from Islamic nations that export and radicalize terrorists. Ask that God will expose the plans of these jihadi terrorists to law enforcement agencies before they occur. Pray for the terrorist ISIS army to be totally defeated and ousted from the territories they occupy in Syria and Iraq. Declare peace and restoration to these ancient Bible lands so their populations can return home.
This week marked the seventy-third anniversary of D-Day. We thank the Lord and remember all the young men who laid their lives on the line for liberty and justice on the beaches of Normandy. We owe much to those in our armed forces who fought and laid down their lives to preserve the precious freedoms we all enjoy. We continue to cover in prayer all our armed forces presently serving. May the Lord of Hosts guard those in harm’s way.

The UK is holding general elections today, June 8. Pray protection for those going to the polls. Pray that God would give the UK leaders such that it would be to His glory to give them the victory.
