I take delight in this season of the year: It is the time when the world looks at the coming of Jesus. Everywhere you look people are decorating their homes, putting up Christmas trees and shopping for gifts for friends and family. Against the backdrop of this celebration, Israeli-Palestinian peace talks have resumed following the widely publicized Annapolis, MD, conference. There is no doubt that there will be no peace until all nations acknowledge and receive the greatest gift, the King of Glory, Christ the Savior, the Prince of Peace.
Now there were in the same country shepherds living in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.” Luke 2:8-14.
Laughter and smiles abound
at the Christian school that we help support
in the besieSged town of Bethlehem.
This Child had the biggest assignment ever given – to redeem you and me and every family on earth. His mission was to purchase salvation with His life. 1 Timothy 3:16 tells us, “God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.” This is the wonder of Christmas: that the eternal Creator of the universe should come and be born as a baby, live in our midst and die for our sins to redeem mankind.
This Babe is the source of our salvation, our healing, deliverance, our joy and every blessing. He is the wondrous gift of whom Paul wrote, “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15). We echo Paul’s words of thanksgiving during this magnificent season of joy, as we share with you a few of the miracles from this past year.
Last summer Lucy, 85 years old, came to one of the meetings where I was ministering at Calvary Campground. After years of isolation when her hearing deteriorated beyond the help of hearing aids, Jesus healed her, and now she can hear! Just a few weeks prior to this miracle, Miss Alberta received her sight during a healing meeting in Atlanta. A few weeks shy of her 90th birthday, this woman who had been born blind saw for the first time in her entire life! (Click Here to watch video.) Like Anna and Simeon who saw the glory of their Salvation in their old age, both Lucy and Alberta saw the healing they had been seeking after years of waiting in faith and hope.
This same healing glory touched a two-year-old boy who had a very rare form of bone cancer in his pelvis. He was scheduled to have his leg removed to try to save his life when his parents brought him to our Miracle Glory Conference in Washington, DC. His father wrote to us, “My wife and I were desperate and after praying a lot brought our son to the conference. Dr. Mahesh laid hands on my son, and the power of the blood of Jesus healed my son. My son was healed from head to toe.”
Donna Wood had stage four cancer (click Here to watch video) when she came to a conference where I was ministering last spring. Doctors offered her little hope of survival and were basically giving her different treatment options depending on “how she wanted to die.” She wrote to us:
My husband and I came to the conference believing that God is greater than cancer, and that the name of Jesus is above every name that is named and that He is our healer. On the second day when Mahesh was ministering, I was kneeling down at my chair and praying silently. It caught my attention that as I prayed from my heart, Mahesh was saying out loud some of the things I was praying. I thought it was just a coincidence, and went back to praying, then it happened again. The third time, I was praying silently, “God, cancer is not too hard for you.” I was amazed as I heard Mahesh say from the pulpit, “No, cancer is not too hard for God!” Then he called up all who were dealing with cancer. He asked “Where is the lady who is dealing with cancer.” I raised my hand from the back of the line. He called me up and told me, “You are His daughter. The assignment is broken over you. As quickly as this came, it will go. You’re going to live a long time!” I want you to know that I went back for another PET/CAT scan and my tests were normal. I no longer have cancer! Praise God. Jesus is my Healer!
I want to encourage you: Jesus who was born as a tiny Babe and laid in a manger in a humble stable in Bethlehem is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is our Healer. He is our deliverer. He is the exact representation of the Glory of God, our Father, and the source of all our praise. I invite you to step into His glorious presence and receive the gift of life that He purchased for each of us. Do you need healing? Ask Him to touch you. Do you need salvation? Invite Him into your heart today. Are you facing an impossible situation? He is your Deliverer. Call upon His name, and you will be saved.
This is the wonder and joy of Christmas that we are celebrating together with you during this season. It is our joy to be involved in this mission together with you our partner. The miracles that we are sharing with you today are touching families across the nations as we minister to a billion households every week through The Watch television program. We are well underway in building our new All Nations Healing and Revival Center and Watch of the Lord Headquarters. Our vision is that this new facility will help us better serve and steward the healing anointing with which God has graced us, where the sick can come and soak in the presence of His healing glory; a permanent place where we can hold our glory conferences and where we can train leaders from across the world to walk in the authority and power of the Holy Spirit.
I believe that God has great things for us in 2008. We invite you to be a part of this exciting adventure as we continue the mission for which Christ came to the world. Prayerfully consider helping us reach out globally, and help us build the All Nations Healing and Revival Center with your financial gift. Help us give the greatest gift through your partnership and year-end giving. If you have never received this gift, you can receive the gift of salvation and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Click here to find out how.
Thank you for giving yourself to the mission! We pray that you will be filled with abundant joy as we celebrate the coming of our King and wait in expectation of His return during this special season.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Bonnie and myself and all of our family and staff at Mahesh Chavda Ministries,
