It's Time to Seek the Lord. Lead, Follow or Get out of the Way! -- A Call to 1,000 Churches, Prayer Groups and Individuals to Fast and Pray.

In 2008 our nation will hold presidential elections that will greatly impact the direction of our nation and of the world for years to come. The Southwest and the Southeast, the “Bible-belt” of the U.S., are in the midst of the longest and most severe droughts in America in over one hundred years. As these regions of America languish for lack of water, it is a reflection of the desperate spiritual condition of the nation as a whole. We need a holy visitation of God’s Presence in our hearts, in our churches and in our land. The hour is full of challenges, but we believe that we are standing at the threshold of a great outpouring of the Spirit. Let God’s people arise and lead the way.

Our nation, our government, our churches and our natural land are desperate for the awakening rains of revival. God has given us His prescription to heal and refresh our land:

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

We are asking for 1,000 churches and prayer groups and as many individuals as are willing to stand in the gap for this nation with us in concerted fasting and prayer. From now until the 2008 Elections, we are calling for collective gathering of believers in one heart and mind who will join us in a time of corporate prayer and fasting every Monday of each week for our nation. This can be a full day fast or a partial fast--a fast of certain foods, fasting one meal, drinking only juices, etc*—we are just asking for those who, in whatever way they are able to participate, are saying, “I am serious about God’s purposes,” and will commit to doing some form of fasting with us over course of the next year.

We have three strategic targets for this fast:

1. The 2008 Presidential Elections:

2. Breaking the Natural Drought over the Southeast and Southwest.

3. Praying for the Rains of the Holy Spirit to bring Revival and Visitation to America.
