Watch Report – November 26, 2010 (Abbreviated Watch)

Watchmen on the Wall for Mexico!

There was a sweet aroma of incense being offered up to the Lord as a group of watchmen gathered together, in an intimate setting, to offer thanksgiving to God and prayers for Mexico’s struggle against the drug cartels. Men, women, and children found their station on the wall of prayer and poured out their heart to God for all that He is doing, and has done, in their lives.

During worship, we went into a time of using our prayer language to draw nigh to our Lord Jesus Christ. As our hearts were knit together, time was spent expressing our thankfulness for family (natural and spiritual), provision, freedom, pastoral leadership, and more. A spirit of unity was present as a couple offered thanksgivings for restoration in their marriage. Everyone had the opportunity to share their heart.

The watch focus was to pray for Mexico; the drug wars occurring on both sides of the border; and against the drug cartels trying to control that traffic. We spent a large portion of the evening on those points. Prayers were presented for wisdom, divine strategies, and safety of the government officials in charge. Additional prayers were offered up on behalf of healing for the citizens of Mexico; healing from drug addictions; and salvation for all involved.

The final segment of the watch was focused on praying for our nation (including leaders), troops, church leadership, the Body of Christ, Jerusalem, and the Carolinas. The healing team prayed for everyone in attendance and communion was served.

Prayers Answered

The following day, Saturday 11/27/10, we saw a dynamic response to our prayers! The Associated Press carried the report about two tunnels being discovered which stretched from Mexico to San Diego that contained over 40 tons of drugs. The tunnels and drugs were thought to be the work of the one of Mexico’s most-wanted drug cartels. And more drugs were discovered throughout the following week. (James 5:16 …The prayer of a righteous man is effective and powerful.)

We praise God for all that He does in response to our prayers and are reminded to remain watchful as Jesus directs us in the scriptures.

Mark 13:32-37

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It is like a man going away; He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to Keep Watch! Therefore Keep Watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back-whether in evening or at midnight or when the rooster crows or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone. Watch!
