Weekly Focus: Terror in Egypt

Friday, December 1, 2017—Pray for Egypt where Islamic terrorists killed 305 Sufi Muslims at a crowed mosque last Friday.  ISIS are radical Sunni who consider the Sufi to be heretical. Among the dead were 27 children.

President Al Sisi of Egypt is a firm ally of America and a significant leader in trying to eradicate ISIS from the Middle East. Pray for shalom for Egypt. May the Lord protect and guide President Al Sisi and other key leaders in the region.  Pray that peace will return to the Middle East and that ISIS will be totally destroyed. May God comfort the grieving families and heal those wounded.  Pray for security forces who are trying to restore peace and bring the terrorists to justice.

ISIS has made terror threats on London, New York, the Vatican, and Europe over the Christmas season. Pray for safety, and bind every spirit of violent jihadi terror, violence, and murder. Put a hedge of protection over our borders, and the borders of those under threat from ISIS. Pray for every plan of the enemy to be exposed and neutralized.

Part 2: Pray for our Armed Forces Serving Far from Home

At this time of the year, our hearts turn to Christmas, to family and friends gathering for meals, fellowship, and giving gifts around the Christmas tree. In this season, let us remember our armed forces, many serving far from home. May the Spirit of God comfort them and their loved ones. May they continually know angelic protection. We pray they be filled with supernatural joy and thanks. Let our loving prayers especially reach out to our wounded warriors and their families as they journey toward restoration and healing. May there be provision for all of their needs. Let us lift them and their families up in prayer.
