Watch Focus 3/28/25: Our Watch Focus this week is for America
 
Proverbs 24:3-4, “Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.”
 
Jesus tells the parable of a wise man who builds his house on an immovable foundation so that it can withstand any storm that comes to tear it down. Every house must start with a firm foundation. Its walls that support the roof and define rooms stand on that foundation. That house becomes the place of safety and provision for the family living there. It forms the character and health of the children who grow up there.
 
America’s foundation was laid in the fires of revival. Our government system rests on the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights. The slogan “Make America great again” has become a theme for this administration’s governmental vision. The departments overseen by President Trump’s numerous cabinet members have adapted it for their areas. Make America Safe is the vision at Homeland Security referring to criminal violence and border crossings. Make America Healthy again at Health and Human Services refers to things like ridding our food supply of the several hundred additives harmful to human health.
 
During a time of economic distress, Ronald Reagan first coined the slogan for his 1980 Presidential campaign. Reagan said, “For those who’ve abandoned hope, we’ll restore hope, and we’ll welcome them into a great national crusade to make America great again.” Both Bill and Hilary Clinton also used the slogan. No one has taken it so seriously and literally as President Trump and the team he has put together to restore our basic national foundations socially, economically, and regarding national security.
 
We pray for REVIVAL to cleanse and restore our national foundation, strengthen our walls, and cover us with safety for the sake of our children.
 
We pray for a RESTORATION of social and cultural morals.
 
We pray an outpouring of SALVATION and conversion of hearts to Christ in every family and household in America.
 
We pray THE FEAR OF THE LORD sweep across our nation and turn men to God in repentance.
 
Psalm 127, “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for so He gives His beloved sleep. Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed but shall speak with their enemies in the gate.”
 
Isaiah 5:20, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
 
Romans 1:18-32, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness… For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened… For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting…who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.”
 
1 Timothy:1-4, “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving…”
2 Timothy 3:1-7, “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 
Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
 
John 3:3, “Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
1 Kings 8:44-48, “When Your people go out to battle against their enemy, wherever You send them, and when they pray to the Lord toward the city which You have chosen and the temple which I have built for Your name, then hear in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause. When they sin against You (for there is no one who does not sin), and You become angry with them and deliver them to the enemy, and they take them captive to the land of the enemy, far or near; yet when they come to themselves in the land where they were carried captive, and repent, and make supplication to You in the land of those who took them captive, saying, ‘We have sinned and done wrong, we have committed wickedness’; and when they return to You with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies who led them away captive, and pray to You toward their land which You gave to their fathers, the city which You have chosen and the temple which I have built for Your name: then hear in heaven Your dwelling place their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause, and forgive Your people who have sinned against You, and all their transgressions which they have transgressed against You;”
Proverbs 1:7, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
 
Job 28:28, “And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.’”
 
Psalm 25:14, “The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.”
