Watch Focus Friday, November 15, 2024: Pray for our Leaders and May the Gospel Run Swiftly!

Part 1: Pray for our Leaders.

We continue to give thanks for the clear election results. Let us continually press into the Apostle Paul’s instruction in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Let us pray the Lord directs President-Elect Trump and his team in all leadership appointments for the new administration and gives the new cabinet directing our nation’s executive branch the ‘problem solving wisdom of Daniel’ in all domestic and foreign issues they are inheriting. We claim Daniel’s ability to solve problems in Daniel 5:12 (Amplified Bible) “It was because an extraordinary spirit, knowledge and insight, the ability to interpret dreams, clarify riddles, and solve complex problems, were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now let Daniel be called and he will give the interpretation.” We especially pray the Lord would lead the new administration in standing with Israel in a way that honors the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob!

Part 2: May the Gospel Run Swiftly.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”  Let us echo Paul’s instruction in 2 Thessalonians 3:1 “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you,” May the Gospel run swiftly across Charlotte, The Carolina’s, the Nation, and the Nations ushering in the Lord’s return! We say, Lord, Your Kingdom come Your will be done in the Nations! We call on the Lord for fresh boldness and power to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We stand in agreement with the believer’s prayer in Acts 4:29-31 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. May fresh waves of revival sweep across America and the Nations!

Deuteronomy 34:9, “Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.”

1 Kings 3:9, “Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”

Isaiah 11:2, “The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.”

Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen."

Psalm 2:8, "Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession."
